One of my favorite video sites on the internet is USTREAM . They have every kind of video imaginable. My favorite video category is the "Animal Cams". This part of the site allows you to see videos (many live) of animals of all stripes, including wildlife. I love to see all these wonderful creatures in their native habit so I can observe their behavior.

Right now Bald Eagles, our National Symbol, are readying for their eggs to burst open with their offspring or, in some cases, already feeding and caring for their babies. It's astounding to see this process go forward over time until the eaglets fledge then take off on their first flight. God sure knew what He was doing when He created these magnificent predators who glide in flight like a ballerina in the air and then suddenly swoop down and snag their prey for supper.

The Greatest Mountain - Mount Katahdin

I wanted to share with you one of the most beautiful places in Maine. It's called Mount Katahdin, or the Indians of hundreds of years ago referred to it, The Greatest Mountain. Mount Katahdin (kuh-tah'-din) is just a few feet shy of being a mile high and is the highest point in Maine. The Greatest Mountain is both breath-taking and rugged at the same time, thus adding to its mysterious "personality".

I wrote a post on Mount Katahdin way back in July of last year, before I was made aware of this video, that gives a nice history of the Mountain and the people who revered it. Take a look at the post then view the video and you'll see why so many of yesteryear, as well as today, hold The Greatest Mountain in such awe and with great respect for its beauty, ruggedness and spiritual appeal to the Natives of the area.

Kid Rock is Kickin' Country Ass

Several years ago I heard a lot about a guy named Kid Rock. My understanding at the time was that he was a white guy who did rap music like Eminem.  I thought so the hell what! Eminem ain't exactly my bottle of beer, so what's the big deal about another white guy rapper. A few years went by and I decided that I'd give Kid Rock a listen (except the rap crap). I did and I loved what I heard. This Kid Rock guy was the real deal. Now, years later, I am a Kid Rock fan. I especially like the stuff he does with Hank Williams, Jr. They are two Rebels cut from the same Confederate flag. My kind of kick ass Country/Rock. Kid Rock has a new duet out with Sheryl Crow called "Collide" and it's badass. Take look and listen. You'll like it.

95 Year Old YouTube Star Cooks and Teaches Life Lessons

As many of you know, my wife writes a cooking blog and therefore she watches a lot of YouTube vodeos about cooking and such. One of the ladies she watches regularly is the woman in the embedded video. The Lady's name is Clara. Clara is kickin' ass and takin' names at 95 years young! Clara's channel at YouTube is a niche vlog on cooking in the Great Depression. She should know. She lived through it. Clara is an amazing lady who has never forgotten about the difficult circumstances from which she came.

Please take a minute to watch this video. Clara intertwines stories of her youth way back when into the cooking lessons she learned so long ago. It's worth your time and maybe it will even make you realize that you ain't got it so bad. God bless you, Clara. You are one in a million.

Guess what? I have started another blog! Go figger. As you may have noticed, this weekend I felt like watching videos or, to be more precise, I wanted to hear some old music, so I posted several videos this weekend on the Mother Site. I didn't intend for the Mother Site to end up like that drawer in your kitchen where you'll find everything from a hammer to birthday cake candles. You know it's true.
